At Rodeo Dunes, we believe golf is best experienced by walking with a caddie. It’s a tradition that’s been part of the game from the beginning, and one that makes every round more enjoyable. Our caddies come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and they all share a deep knowledge of the course and a passion for the game. Walking the dunes with a caddie offers a more personal, memorable, and authentic way to experience Rodeo Dunes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A great caddie does more than carry a bag. They help you enjoy the round, stay in rhythm, and get the most out of your day at Rodeo Dunes. When you take a caddie, you can expect:

  • Course knowledge, including hole locations, carry yardages, and help reading greens

  • Assistance keeping pace and helping locate errant shots

  • Care for the course and your equipment, from raking bunkers and fixing divots to cleaning clubs

  • Tending, removing, and replacing the flagstick throughout the round

ASSIGNING YOUR CADDIE

Your caddie will typically stay with you for each scheduled round during your time at Rodeo Dunes, unless you request otherwise. If you have any preferences or specific needs, we encourage you to let us know before your visit so we can pair you with the right caddie for your group. Advance requests are always appreciated and help us ensure availability.

BAG CONSIDERATIONS

Our caddies walk several miles each day, so keeping your bag light makes a difference for both pace of play and the overall experience. We recommend only bringing only the essentials for the round and using a carry bag with a stand and single or double strap that weighs approx. 25 lbs or less. If you arrive with a larger cart bag, we may recommend using on of our change-out bags while on property. Any extra equipment can be stored during your round.

  • 14 clubs or fewer

  • 1 water bottle

  • 6 golf balls

  • 1-2 versatile bag straps

  • 1 layering piece or rain gear, depending on the forecast

WHAT STAYS IN YOUR CAR

  • Weighted clubs or training aids

  • Range finder

  • Towel

  • Umbrella

  • Extra golf shoes

  • Old bag tags

Caddies at Rodeo Dunes

PAYING YOUR CADDIE

Caddies at Rodeo Dunes are independent contractors and are paid directly by the guest at the conclusion of the round. The rates below are recommended payments and include gratuity. If needed, an ATM is available in the Golf Shop.

Caddies typically carry two bags during a round. Please note that requests for a single-bag caddie may not be accommodated.
